MPPG, phenylglycine analogue, is a potent and selective metabotropic glutamate receptor (mGluR) antagonist with a kD value of 9.2 µM. MPPG antagonizes both L-AP4 (HY-100781A)- and (1 S,3S)-ACPD-induced depressions of the monosynaptic excitation[1].
