3,3-Di-O-methylellagic acid is a methylated ellagic acid derivative belongs to the polyphenol class of natural products. 3,3-Di-O-methylellagic acid has been reported to affect acid tolerance-related phenotypes in mycobacteria while exerting minimal effects on overall bacterial growth. In addition, due to its antioxidant properties, 3,3-Di-O-methylellagic acid is considered to have potential hepatoprotective effects.
