Cinobufaginol is a natural bufadienolide isolated from the secretions of the Chinese toad (Bufo bufo gargarizans). Cinobufaginol exhibits significant cytotoxicity against various tumor cell lines, with IC50 values of 803 µM and 1.270 µM for the human nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell lines CNE-1 and CNE-2Z, respectively. In tests against various cancer cell lines, including A549 (lung cancer), HCT-116 (colon cancer), and SKOV3 (ovarian cancer), the IC50 values for cinobufaginol were all below 2.17 µM.
