The CD163 cell surface glycoprotein is a 175kD molecule also known as ED2. CD163 is expressed by approximately 50% of peritoneal macrophages, a subset of splenic macrophages, and by macrophages in most other tissues. However, it is not expressed by monocytes, alveolar macrophages or microglial cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: Neat-1:10, 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0-Ag 14 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C before and after reconstitution. DO NOT FREEZE! Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at 4C. Reconstitute lyophilized powder with sterile ddH2O prior to use and store remainder as an undiluted liquid. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
