Purified recombinant protein corresponding to human Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor.
Macrophage/monocyte colony stimulating factor (M-CSF) is a hematopoietic factor for macrophages, monocytes and bone marrow progenitor cells and also promotes the phogocytic activity of these cells. MCSF stimulates bone remodeling through its receptors on osteoclasts. MCSF and its receptor are also implicated with the normal development and neoplastic growth of mammary gland. High level of MCSF is necessary for embryonic implantation and placental development. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0-AG14 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
