The murine scavenger receptor class A (SRA), type I and II is also known as CD204. CD204 is expressed by tissue macrophages and functions both as an endocytic receptor for lipoproteins and as an adhesion receptor for macrophages binding to ligand rich tissues e.g. atherosclerotic lesions. Inhibits the uptake of acetylated low-density lipoproteins and also inhibits divalent cation independent adhesion. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Functional Assays, Immunohistochemistry, Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot. Not suitable for use in paraffin and resin Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 1:50-1:100, 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): Acetone fixation is recommended for frozen sections. Western Blot: Non-reducing conditions only. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Y3 rat myeloma cells with spleen cells from AO rats. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
