The restriction endonuclease is a restriction endonuclease BspQ I that can recognize specific sites and expressed recombinantly in Escherichia coli. Its recognition sequence is 5-GCTCTTC-3, with the cleavage site located downstream from the recognition sequence. Restriction endonucleases are widely used in various fields such as gene positioning and cloning. This enzyme cleaves DNA rapidly for efficient gene linearization.
