Sambucus nigra lectin, isolated from elderberry bark, binds preferentially to sialic acid attached to terminal galactose in alpha-2,6 and to a lesser degree, alpha-2,3 linkage. It is available conjugated to biotin and CF Dyes. Near-infrared CF 740 has Ex/Em at 742/767 nm. 1 mg lyophilized solid.
