Anti-FOLR1/FRA Antibody is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting Folate Receptor alpha (FOLR1/FRA/FRalpha). FOLR1 is a Glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored membrane protein responsible for mediating high-affinity folate uptake into cells. It is significantly overexpressed in various epithelial cancers, including ovarian, breast, and lung cancers, while showing restricted expression in normal tissues (except the kidney proximal tubules), making it an ideal tumor target. Anti-FOLR1/FRA Antibody specifically binds to FOLR1 on the tumor cell surface, blocking Lyn kinase-mediated signaling to inhibit cell proliferation, and inducing potent Antibody-Dependent Cellular Cytotoxicity (ADCC) and Complement-Dependent Cytotoxicity (CDC) to directly kill tumor cells. Furthermore, as the targeting moiety of Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs), it serves as a critical vehicle for delivering cytotoxic payloads (e.g., DM4) into tumor cells.
