Immunogen: Recombinant protein corresponding to Leu19-Lys1383 (Thr399Ala & Leu407Phe) of human Macrophage Mannose Receptor, expressed in NS0 cells.
MMR, also known as CD206 and MRC1 (mannose receptor C, type 1), is a scavenger receptor that is expressed on tissue macrophages, myeloid dendritic cells, and liver and lymphatic endothelial cells. MMR contains eight carbohydrate recognition domains (CRD) which enable the internalization of a wide variety of soluble and pathogen-associated glycans. Once internalized, ligands are released following acidification of phagosomes or endosomes, and the receptor is recycled to the cell surface. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry and Direct ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunocytochemistry: 8-25ug/ml using immersion fixed human peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
