Macrophage inflammatory protein 1a (MIP-1a), also known as CCR3, belongs to the MIP-1 CC chemokine family. The cytokine is mainly produced by macrophages after stimulation by bacterial endotoxins. In acute inflammatory stage, MIP-1a plays an important role in the recruitment and activation of granulocytes. MIP-1a also stimulates the production of pro- inflammatory cytokines, including IL-1, IL-6 and TNF-a. In normal status, MIP- 1a plays a role in promoting homoeostasis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0-AG14 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
