Purified recombinant protein corresponding Ala27-Met96 (Asn95Asp) from human Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 alpha, expressed in E. coli.
CCL20, also known as macrophage inflammatory protein 3 alpha (MIP-3a), is a b-chemokine that is strongly up-regulated by inflammatory signals and down-regulated by the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10. CCL20 binds to CCR6 to promote chemotaxis of lymphocytes and inhibit the proliferation of myeloid progenitors. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Neutralization and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1ug/ml using recombinant human CCL20 ELISA Capture: 2-8ug/ml Neutralization: Measured by its ability to neutralize CCL20/MIP-3 alpha -induced chemotaxis in the BaF3 mouse pro-B cell line transfected with human CCR6. The Neutralization Dose (ND50) is typically 0.2-2ug/ml in the presence of 1ng/ml Recombinant Human CCL20/MIP-3 alpha. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
