MaxLight(TM)490 is a new Blue-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to DyLight(TM)488, Alexa Fluor(TM)488 and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (491nm), Emission (515nm), Extinction Coefficient 73,000. MCP-1 (Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein 1), otherwise known as CCL2, is a 76aa CC chemokine which acts as a chemoattractant for monocytes, basophils, activated T cells and NK cells, through binding with the seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor, CCR2. The recruitment of mononuclear cells by MCP-1, has established this chemokine as an important factor in innate immunity, implicated in the pathogenesis of inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, uveitis and bronchial asthma. Increasing studies have also linked MCP-1 with the polarization of activated T cells into the T helper 2 (Th2) subset, revealing a role for MCP-1 in the adaptive immune response. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight(TM)490 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
